WHAT DOES COMMUNITY MEAN?
A NIGHT OF FILMS AND DISCUSSION

Co-hosted by PATOIS: New Orleans' International Human Rights Film Festival and JPNSI (Jane Place Neighborhood Sustainability Initiative) three films (Soul City, Arc of Justice, and Flooded with You) will be screened. These films explore struggles for community self-determination, the power of land ownership, and the restorative ties that networks of families, allies, and supporters can provide during times of hardship.

The films will be followed by a brief discussion lead by JPNSI's co-founder Shana griffin. Featured panelists include: Kai Lumumba Barrow, M. Endesha Jukali, Monica Berra, Gini Richards, Dr. Charmaine Mckissick-Melton, and Evan Kidd.
